I should have really posted about this much sooner than the day before the event but I have been sooo busy preparing for it is untrue.

Essentially I have my first speaking engagement tomorrow (although it will be via remote) at the SharePoint and Exchange Forum 2008.

To cut a long story short, I have been collaborating with an American based company called .:ENOW as a technical advisor for a little while now.

Essentially .:ENOW specialises in Exchange consultancy and have their own flagship Exchange monitoring product called “Mailscape“. The CEO of the .:ENOW was invited to speak at the SEF to discuss the issues which face Exchange 2007 administrators from a monitoring perspective and he asked me to work with him on the presentation mainly from the perspective of providing demonstrations of what you can achieve in terms of monitoring Exchange just with the native commands that you are provided with.

The good news is that Jay was so pleased with the stuff that I came up with he asked me to present the demonstration section of his presentation myself – therefore at 16:35 (Swedish Time) on the 8th September 2008 I will be (via remote phone link) presenting to the conference the labours of my work (if you look at the conference Agenda you will see an entry for Jay Gundotra – that’s where I will be).

My section consists of some of the monitoring CMDLETS that can be used to report on and monitor Exchange, however I have a “big finish” so to speak where I present an application that I have written which makes use of MS SQL Express (2005), ASP and Powershell to form a complete custom Exchange monitoring application.

Until then I will be busily continuing with my preparation and in some little way “wetting my pants”
