I found this article very interesting - thank you.

I work for a big coprorate in the UK who is upgrading Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007 and the article had enlightened me as to possible stumbling blocks during the upgrade.

Thanks Andy,

I think this will sort out a lot of problems for me. I read one of your dcos a while back I think and proceeded to do 4 EV upgrades over the last 2 months in readiness. Next step is Exchnage 2007 end of this month and next. Thank you for the post :-)

Andy - you probably saved me at last two weeks... Thanks!

One question - did you upgrade your Exchange 2003 servers all the way to Enterprise Vault 2007 SP2 or just your Enterprise Vault Servers and the CAS servers? Our environment is relatively new, so we have EV 2007 with no SP already.

I'm trying to prevent touching the existing environment if we do not need to. Would like to hear that someone else saw this work.

Thanks in advance. - Dave

Thanks for the above articule.

My question is this:
We have just deployed a exchange 2007 server with the hope of migrating our exchange 2003 users to 2007, however the issue we hare having is that since our CAS server now provides OWA access for both 2003 and 2007 users as explained above, when a 2003 and a 2007 user tries to access OWA internally he gets a prompt to provide username and password even though we are using windows integrated authentication. Once the user types in her username and password then the user can then access OWA. Since we are using sharepiont which uses OWA this will not work for us.

Will the above Constrained Delegation solve this issue?. Cause it look similar to the problem you are having. Did you experience this problem also?. Also we have KVS server and certainly we will follow your advise above, but we need to sort the OWA access for users internally first. Your help will be greatly appreciated as this project is now way behind.
